2020 Election: Can All Americans Vote

Elections have consequences for all of us, but there are Americans, who are not allowed to vote. With the 2020 elections, in November, almost six million Americans are disenfranchised from voting. It does not matter if, the former inmates are again productive members of society, who pay taxes. Only states decide who can vote–not the federal government. There are states, who do not restore the right to vote even,  upon completion of the sentence. Three states allow probationers and parolees the right to vote, and about twenty states allow former inmates, the right to vote upon completion of their sentence. It is time to restore the right to vote to all returning citizens, who have completed their sentences.
