The inmate has to submit a visitation list–no more than 10 on the list. It can take 2-3 weeks before all is ready. For information about prison life, read 25 Rules. my husband is 12 hours away from this unit. is it possible they will transport him all this way if the parole letter he got has this program only program in texas that has it?

Is there any rules on a recently released TX prison inmate visiting a currently incarcerated inmate. I was released October 9, 2015 from a Teaxs prison and I was trying to visit someone the weekend of April 2, 2016.
Many states do not allow released inmates on probation or parole to visit inmates incarcerated. We recommend contacting the prison about its visitation rules before visiting.
