We do not know of any restriction, but I would recommend calling the facility directly to answer your question. If you are still not satisfied with their answer, call back and request to speak to the prison chaplain.
I was arrested with my common law husband on one of the charges that he is now serving his time for, only because I was in the same car at the time. However after investigation my charges were dismissed and my property not seized as they found that I was unaware of his criminal activity at that time. Would that still qualify me as his codefendant even though my charges were dismissed and therefor disqualify me from visitation? I was denied visitation once just 3 days before my charges were dismissed? If I am not disqualified what do I need… Read more »

Department of Corrections is allowed to have a maximum of fifteen (15) approved visitors on his/her visiting list. Each inmate is provided with “Request for Visiting Privileges” forms (SCDC Form 19-127) to send to his/her prospective visitors. The only way for an individual to receive a visiting privileges form is from the inmate who wants them to visit. im trying to look up my husband on the inmate search, but everytime i put his name or his scdc number in it cant see to find him. Is the system down or since he is about to be released has he been taken out of the system.

I am trying to find information on a man I was incarcerated with at Walden. His name was Jason “I cannot remember his last name” and was basically shrugged off and left to die by medical and correctional staff. He developed pneumonia over the Christmas time break for the Medical facilities at Walden and Stephenson. After many attempts at help from him and others myself included he was finally taken by ambulance to the hospital. By that time it was to late he died in the hospital.
