How long does it take exactly to be approved for visitation? And when exactly do they notify the inmate of the approval?
Hi Joanna, The process can take several weeks. It is the inmate’s responsibility to notify you of your approval. Note the following information: Each inmate in the S. C. Department of Corrections is allowed to have a maximum of fifteen (15) approved visitors on his/her visiting list. Each inmate is provided with “Request for Visiting Privileges” forms (SCDC Form 19-127) to send to his/her prospective visitors. So they get rewarded for rapping a child. The pos that rapped my daughter is there and gets to get better health care then we do and an education. While my daughter tried to kill herself because of him and he gets a great life.
