My husband was in SCI COAL TOWNSHIP from 2011 to 2013 came home after 2 yrs. In that God forsaken place and died 6 weeks later from stage 4 stomach cancer. What the hell is wrong with that place? Is the medical department that incompetent or just plain idiots?

Hi Veronica,
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. Often the medical care at prisons does not meet the appropriate standard of care.
Either out of saving money,or just indifference, inmates receive substandard medical care.

Thanks,I just don’t think it’s right, medical issues need to be taken more seriously in prison and county jails,I myself was incarcerated in Lehigh County Jail,I had serious medical issues and was told to drink water…Now how is that right?

I thinks it’s a shame these inmates don’t get proper medical attention, They can treat them without money, you can walk into an emergency room with no insurance and they treat you, they just don’t care about the inmates and I heard alot of what goes on at SCI COAL TOWNSHIP from my husband in the 6 weeks we had left together after doing 2 yrs in that hell hole, I should of said something immediately or I should have done something then. Im still thinking on getting a lawyer to see what I could do.
