St. Cloud Correctional Facility

MCF-St. Cloud serves as the intake facility for the Minnesota Department of Corrections. After being sentenced by the court, offenders are transported to MCF-St. Cloud to be processed into the system and then evaluated. In the evaluation process, the DOC will determine the following: The proper custody level for the offender, If the offender has any special health concerns, including mental health and evaluation for drug and alcohol abuse, After the evaluation is complete the offender will be sent to the facility that can best meet their custody level and programming needs. However, in some cases offenders will remain in St. Cloud.
