The primary mission of the California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison at Corcoran (SATF/CSP) is to protect the public by ensuring those inmates who are remanded to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) remain in custody, until they are scheduled to be released. Provide educational, vocational, re-entry and self-help programs that are current by societys standards that will provide inmates life skills, and work skills that can be used in support of their efforts at reintegration into society.

I am trying desperately to hunt down my fiance’s cousin who I do know is at this prison but would like to know what info is needed to write & successfilly get a letter to him. Hospitalized Prisoners:
When a prisoner is seriously ill or injured, he/she may
be hospitalized, in either a prison hospital or a community hospital. Visits with
Inmates Hospitalized:
hospitalized prisoners are only considered for prisoners having life threatening or
critical injuries or illnesses. These special visits are restricted to immediate family
members with current approval to visit at the institution. Requests to visit at a
community hospital must be approved by the Warden and attending physician.
Visitors should make requests to visit by contacting the Warden’s office
