Goose Creek Correctional Center

Goose Creek Correctional Center is a combined sentenced and unsentenced medium-security classification facility with a total of 1535 beds. General housing totals 1280 beds, medical segregation has 16 beds, 55 beds for punitive segregation, as well as 56 beds for administrative segregation, and 125 beds for the special management unit. Goose Creek is a state of the art facility and implementing many new procedures. One of the most interesting rules this facility has instituted is that all mail is photo-copied, the original piece of mail is then destroyed and the copy is sent to the inmate.
