Washington D.C. – September 18th
Online prison database and resource, Prisonpath.com, celebrates its one-year launch today. It has grown steadily as the go-to resource for the families of inmates and first time non-violent offenders. It provides crucial information about county, state and federal prisons and jails throughout the United States. The number of monthly visitors has grown to over 50,000 visitors every month.
Prisonpath provides information including the ability to locate an inmate, visitation rules, contact numbers, and more about every prison and jail in the United States. It also allows families and friends of inmates to communicate with each other on a specific page. All of this information has been provided free to users.
Every month, hundreds of visitors have their questions about prisons and jails answered personally by the founder of Prisonpath.com. The founder, B.D. Schwartz, was incarcerated at the age of 62 for 15 months in the Maryland state prison system as a first time, non-violent offender. Based upon his personal experiences and the knowledge of experienced inmates, the website was created to help inmate’s families and first time non-violent offenders face incarceration.
Prisonpath posts weekly articles on timely topics such as, “Ariel Castro: Prison Suicides, “Employment Discrimination against Returning Citizens,” and “Orange is the New Black—How Realistic.” Prisonpath.com has devoted many of its articles to the major problems facing our prisons and jails; dangerously overcrowded prisons and jails, correctional violence, abusive facilities, and other social issues confronting the prison system.
“The information and the articles provided by this user friendly site would have given my family some peace of mind during a very hard time in their lives,” says Bradley Schwartz, founder of Prisonpath.

Hi,
We recommend using our inmate locators on the home page to determine his status. If no success, call the prison. If they are not helpful, contact the prison chaplain for assistance.
