Mahoning County jail is operated in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio. The Sheriff and his staff have no legal authority to release you without proper order from the court. The Sheriff and his staff are responsible for the daily operation of the jail and responsible to provide a safe and secure environment for those confined within the facility.
