Lucas County Corrections Center

The Lucas County Sheriff operates the Lucas County Corrections Center, a full-service adult detention facility that opened in 1977 and is located in downtown Toledo at 1622 Spielbusch Avenue. The building is a high rise facility with nine levels, including 6 inmate housing floors with a recommended capacity of 346 inmates, and a booking area with a recommended capacity of 51 inmates. The Corrections Center is essentially a Pre-trial facility, with the majority of the inmates being held on serious felony charges. Inmates receive, or are offered, a variety of services including counseling, religious services, drug and alcohol treatment, recreation, library, visitation and medical services.
