Peoria County Jail

The Correction Inside the Jails Division is the largest division of the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff employees 12 Jail Techs, 53 Officers, 1 Classification Director, 3 Sergeants, 6 Deputy Correctional Superintendents, and 1 Assistant Correctional Superintendent to manage the 8th largest jail in the State of Illinois. Staff that work in this division take pride in operating a jail facility that is safe and secure for inmates, staff, contractors, and volunteers. The Sheriff's Office is committed to working with offenders to successfully bring them back into the community. Classes for GED, Substance Abuse, Jobs Partnership, and Food Sanitation are offered to all those that meet the criteria.
