An inmate is given a list for designating his visitors. If you are not on the visitor list, then you will not be allowed to visit the inmate. Every institution has their scheduled hours for visiting. You should check the prison’s web site for the schedule.

It is our understanding that the facility uses the odd-even number system for visitation, but you should call the prison to confirm so.

An inmate filing a grievance would contact his case manager. You could contact the warden’s office, but be aware of possible fallout affecting the inmate.

My family has not been able to get a hold of my brother in a little over two weeks (not even through J-Pay/emailing). During that time we’ve contacted the phone number(s) provided on the main website but get the run around, when we even get a reply.

I am concerned about the Mrsa outbreak in Crowley. It seems to be very widespread, and was originally treated as a fungal heat rash, with Vagisil !! Dr. finally told the inmate that it looked to be Mrsa and that both it and Staph were prevalent in the facility. A culture was taken for the first time today, but don’t know if they will reveal the results to an inmate. This is extremely worrisome. As you know Mrsa can become an infection that you carry that leads to at least 5 different life-threatening illnesses.
