Northern State Prison

Northern State Prison, located on 43 acres in Newark, houses a diverse offender population classified as General Population, Special Needs, Administrative Close Supervision Unit (inmates who have incurred serious disciplinary charges) and Therapeutic Community (addictive behaviors). Community service activities are available to minimum security inmates.
